Find Your Greatness

Today's post will be short because I believe this video speaks for itself. A bit of backstory before we get into it though...

When I shot The 30x30 Project campaign video, I saved thousands of dollars on the process for knowing Eric Kaufman, a good friend of mine who is pret-ty much the most talented cinematographer, photographer, director and producer I've ever met.In exchange for shooting my 30x30 video for free, I allowed Eric to use my story in a Nike spec commercial...If you're not in Hollywood (and even if you are), "spec" is lingo for something that is used to pitch a company. This commercial is not a Nike commercial, but it will hopefully make its way there. :)When I saw the draft of the spot before sound was even done, it knocked the breath out of me. I have never before felt a resurgence of all the pain, struggle and FIGHT like I did when I first watched this video. After speaking about my story numerous times, writing about it, seeing my own campaign video over and over, you'd think I'd be toughened to my own story by now...This video transported me back to the part of my life in which I started discovering what it was like to FIGHT; that strength training wasn't only for my body.So, Eric, thank you for bringing your genius and art to my story. Hopefully, this video can help inspire those who struggle to stand up and fight through the darkness...
