Checking In & Saying Yes To Life (to a point)

581027_10151496020042208_1675850637_nI've wrapped up the first 3 bootcamps and now I'm on my way to Saskatoon! No big deal, but they may have me on TV tomorrow. Just sayin… ;) I'll take pictures! What I'm working on right now is finding the balance between saying yes to all these amazing experiences, and making sure I have enough time to myself to avoid burn out.So I've talked to you all about how I'm an introvert (I know, fancy that), and I really need some quiet time to myself so that I don't get overwhelmed and shut down. It's going to go double for this tour.I'm on ALL the time on this tour, and I'm LOVING it! I'm spreading this message that I'm passionate about, I'm raising money for a cause that needs it, and I'm meeting new friends across North America...BUT, if I keep going like this without taking some days to just write and sleep, I think I'll turn into a bootcamp-zombie… and no one wants to jump on board with a movement leader that isn't energizing and inspiring.I know, I know, I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself. It's so true, though. I am most people's first impression of this movement. If I don't give them the right one, they won't want to spread this message. I have to convince them to want to fight with me.Speaking of which, how are YOU?Are you taking the time to say yes to life with the knowledge that overextending yourself will do more harm than good? It's tough–but necessary–to find the balance between saying yes to living life to the fullest, and saying no just enough to be able to experience them fully. If you overwhelm yourself with way too many things, you'll check out. Your brain will go into save-me mode. You have to recharge every now and then.I know a lot of you out there struggle with this. And hey, I'm with you. But we have to realize, we're better people–more present and focused–when we aren't spread too thin.I'll keep reminding myself of that if you do, and I'll keep saying YES to life! …when I'm not too tired. :)I put a few of those feelings and the excitement of the beginning of this bootcamp into video form:
