It is with so much enthusiasm and excitement that I announce to you that my first-ever, professionally-produced workout videos are now available!
And I won’t be making money off of them for a while.
Whyyyyy? Let me tell you a little story…
It’s been a dream of mine to make actual, professional workout videos ever since I began personal training.
When I went to NMX this year, the last thing I expected was to find an angel investor who would make this dream of mine a reality.
When I went to NMX (which is Blog World, but in fancy, non-geek speak… which is silly because it’s freaking Blog World. Ain’t no escapin’ the geek side of things), I didn’t even have a ticket to the event. I drove in with my fiancé because I didn’t have to work on Sunday or Monday morning and tickets weren’t all that expensive flying back from Vegas on Monday morning.
So what the hell? I went for it. I thought maybe people would want to know about my plans for the year.
I brought a sneak peak of my 30×30 Project pitch video. The one that ended up being the key element to the campaign’s virality.
I didn’t have anything fancy. I put it on my phone, and brought my ear buds, then played it for anyone who expressed any inkling of interest in it at all and wasn’t completely grossed out by sharing in-ear headphones with me.
It ended up being one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
At the conference, I showed it to quite a few people, who all showed me their wow faces. That was when I started realizing how much this movement spoke to people.
Most people were immediately enthusiastic and excited for me. All but one, really…
When the video finished, he stayed silent. I thought to myself that maybe this guy just wasn’t comfortable with mental health issues. Not everyone is.
I asked him what he thought and he replied shortly that it was very good. I wasn’t quite sure why he wasn’t as excited as the other people I’d shown… but that’s life. Onwards and upwards, right?
I politely said it was nice to meet him, and turned to walk away to go show some more supportive people when Antonio tapped me on the shoulder. When I turned, his face was quietly emotional.
“My sister committed suicide,” he said.
“Oh my gosh,” my heart sank for him and his silence suddenly made sense. “I’m so sorry.”
“It happened about 4 years ago. She was only 30.”
The irony wasn’t lost on me; the fact that I was doing this 30×30 project in celebration of the 30th birthday I almost didn’t have when his sister reached hers only to leave 31 waiting forever.
“I want to help you,” he said, determined. Then he handed me his card and said, “Please contact me after the conference so we can talk about how I can help you beyond this tour.”
Since that discussion, I’ve talked multiple times to Antonio and his siblings about their sister, Lola Magdalena Centeno, whose story ended too soon.
Antonio’s family is the reason the videos were even a possibility at all. They banded together to fund the workout videos in his sister’s honor.
Lola Magdalena Centeno was a beautiful, extremely intelligent woman. A successful lawyer, Lena (as the family lovingly called her) had struggled with depression her whole life.
As much as her family tried to support her through all her pain, Lena never found her outlet. She was never able to find a way to channel out the darkness. She reached for alcohol when it got too tough, and one night, it reached its breaking point.
A story brought to an end before she could realize how important she was, before she could realize why this world needs her.
Lola Magdalena Centeno, these videos–this movement–are for you.
In Lena’s honor, I am donating ALL proceeds from the videos until we reach $5,000 to To Write Love On Her Arms in her name. The series is set at $30; $1 for every year of her precious life.
I think it’s only right in my year of giving to take a generous family gift and help as many people as I possibly can with it.
Now, how is it going to help you?
Warning: the rest of this post is salesy (even if it is for charity). If you wish to skip to the page where you can actually purchase the videos, click here!
I developed The Strong Inside Out Workout Videos as a bodyweight option you can do anywhere that will minimize workout time while maximizing the systems worked for the most efficient fat-burning, lean-muscle-building workout.
If you purchase all 5 of the workout videos, you’ll have a complete, full-body strength and cardio workout with core and stability elements to boot.
I pull from my corrective exercise background to balance out your body by working your muscles from all angles, but the personal trainer side of me can’t let you off without revving up your metabolism something fierce!
Using The 30×30 Project Bootcamp as the foundation, I’ve expanded the workouts to 7-15 minutes each of hardcore bang for your buck. You can do them separately, or all together if you’re up for a challenge!
Here’s what you’ll get with the complete series:
Warm It Up!
An active, dynamic warm up to get your muscles ready for the work ahead. This warm up is essential before any of the other workouts to help prevent injury and properly prepare your body for the challenging movements. That’s why it comes free with the purchase of any other video!
Full Body Cardio HIIT
A high intensity interval training strength workout designed to strengthen you from all sides so that you’re not overworking any area of your body more than another. Get your sweat-whicking clothes on. This is going to be one challenging, metabolism-revving, lean muscle-toning sweat-fest!
We’re supersetting slower, controlled movements with explosive, plyometric exercises in this heart-pumping workout. Don’t have time to go to the track for sprints? Give this a go instead. You’ll be working those same fast-twitch muscle fibers that will tone you up and lean you out fast.
This plank-based core workout will chisel your torso from all angles. Shake up your typical back-busting crunches with this routine; all of your abdominal muscles will thank me… especially the ones that give you those lines down the middle and the sides. It’s always bikini season here on Strong Inside Out! Get on it!
Voted on by 30×30 Project donors, this balance and stability workout is slower than the rest, but by no means is it easier. We concentrate on lengthening while strengthening you through single-sided movements that help correct alignment and deep stabilization muscles. Especially beneficial for runners, but helpful for everyone who wants to get toned and balanced while working up a sweat.
The true beauty of this workout series is that you can do it ANYWHERE.
Traveling a lot? Pull them up on your laptop and do them in your hotel room. No time to go to the gym? If you’ve got 15 minutes, you’ve got enough time to do the longest video here.
Simply put: these videos are your excuse-busters. These workouts are derived from 5 years of elite training experience that I am more than happy to now share with you in one, charitable $30 package (it is the year of 30s after all ;) ).
If you want a challenge that’s sure to tighten and strengthen you while kicking all your time and equipment excuses to the curb, this workout is for you.
Wanna hang on to those excuses a while longer? Hold off on getting these til you’re ready to take the next step toward your fitness goals.
I’m serious now, guys. This workout is no joke.
Want proof of how well my workouts work? It’s right there in the video, my friend.
All 3 exercisers in the video (aside from Joel) are my actual personal training clients, who have been taking the full bootcamp and doing workouts that include these very moves.
They’re not models. They’re not hired actors. They’re my super trooper clients that believe in me and these videos so much that they chose to give their time to support.
…ok, well, Kay is a model (the blond one who was featured on SIO not too long ago), but she still did this out of the goodness of her heart… and because I kick her ass twice a week for her to look the way she does!
What Makes This Series Different?
Often times with bodyweight-based videos, the emphasis is placed on moves that work one side of you more than another. Usually, you’ll overwork your chest, fronts of shoulders, and internal shoulder rotators, while leaving your back and posterior delts (your posture muscles) underworked.
Not only will this leave you looking unconfident, shorter and even heavier, an unbalanced body can lead to pain and injury down the road.
The Strong Inside Out Workout Videos aim to break the bodyweight workout mold with a workout that strengthens you from every angle equally and dynamically. I refuse to let you forget about the muscles that you wouldn’t think to work in a bodyweight workout:
- the back and shoulder muscles that keep you looking tall and poised, and also keep your spine in alignment
- the internal core muscles that deepen your waist (instead of working it wider!)
- your butt and hamstrings that keep you stable and balance out tight hip flexors (which most of us have due to prolonged periods of sitting)
- and all the other muscle groups you don’t know you should be strengthening
Coming from a corrective background, my mission is not to correct you as much as it is to keep you from having to be corrected at all!
Unlike many other workout programs available for home use, this series aims to lengthen and strengthen you for functional movement and daily life. Whether that be a desk job or an active lifestyle keeping up with your kids, this workout will get you ready to perform at your best.
The Strong Inside Out Workout Videos were designed to get you a balanced, lean, and strong body that functions like an athlete.
Not to mention that this workout is tons of fun!
I’m not going to yell at you until you cry.
I’m not going to berate you for not working hard enough.
I’m going to cheer you on for whatever you can do. I’m going to encourage you to try your hardest, and then to push that limit the next day…
I’m going to be your cheerleader on the way to the strong body you’ve always wanted.
Get over the fear of gyms and equipment.
Get rid of your excuses.
Get strong, once and for all, while giving to those who need to find their own strength.

One last thing…
A big shout out to my friend, Joel Runyon, from Impossible HQ for flying all the way to LA just to be in these videos! Joel, you rock, and now I have proof!
If you have any questions at all about the videos, please leave them in the comments below and I’ll get back to you ASAP!
Looking forward to hearing just how sore you all get… and the results, too!
With hope and fire,
P.S. There’s a Facebook Page up for the 30th 30×30 Project Bootcamp up in Portland on July 5th. Check it out here!
